I managed to find the time to create a Thursday Doors post today. My first photo is of the front entrance of the Natural History Museum in London. I stopped to rest my feet here before visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum which is just down the road.
Here are a couple from Germany. A picturesque antique shop in Freiburg and one of the city trams.
The entrance to the Gornergrat Railway which takes you into the mountains near the Matterhorn.
Now for something completely different. This is a dollhouse I saw at the London Transport Museum. It was made by Triang. It was included in a display to show the style of housing opening up in the suburbs. Public transport made it easier for people to commute to the city. Naomi and I have several Triang dollhouses ourselves. The whole front of this model swings open like a door.
Finally, a pair of old phone boxes in Ross, Tasmania

A good collection Vanda

What a lovely and varied collection. I love it! There are so many wonderful doors, I can’t pick a favorite, although I will say you started with a great photo. The dollhouse is amazing.

What an interesting assortment of doors! My granddaughter was in Freiburg just last year for a semester of her junior year in college. A very memorable semester. As for that doll house, I’d have been immovable from it when I was a girl — it’s a beauty.

My childhood dolls house was the next model the 61. The same but had a garage as well.
