This week Dan has asked for pictures of dusk. I’ve tried to avoid obvious sunsets but these photos show the last of the light before night sets in.
This first one was sailing out of Sydney Harbour on Ovation of the Seas. Naomi and I went on a cruise to Singapore. It would have been late March or early April o. I remember that we celebrated Easter on that cruise. Cruise ships always sail out of Sydney in the early evening. By the time we reached Sydney Heads it was completely dark.
This next one was taken at the” Flush Away Winter” Festival in Geeveston in 2015.
In Hobart, the same year. I probably took it the same night that I took the one I shared last week.
The photo below was taken in March 2019. It was not long after the bushfires that raged in southern Tasmania for much of that summer. We were still seeing the water bombing planes going south to drop water on hotspots that were still burning after the main fires were under control. I am pretty sure that’s what this one was doing.
These clouds intrigued me so much. I thought they looked a little like flying saucers. I was in my garden in Geeveston when I saw them.
A winters evening at Sisters Beach taken in June 2020. It was probably only 5pm. I have terrible night vision but luckily it is only five minutes walk to my house from the beach so I got home before it was fully dark.

These are beautiful photos for the challenge. I absolutely love the bridge, and I can imagine sailing under it and wanting to take that picture.
