Fandango has posed a multi part question this week which is about the A to Z Blogging Challenge, a yearly blogging event.

Are you planning to formally and officially register for this year’s A to Z Blogging Challenge, pick a theme, and participate? Why or why not?

Or, are you planning to informally and unofficially participate in this year’s A to Z Blogging Challenge on an ad hoc basis?

Or, are you going to skip the A to Z Challenge altogether?

Fandango’s Provocative Question #205

I have never participated in this event. I’ve heard of it as I know bloggers who do take part every year, including Fandango himself. Usually I seem to miss the beginning and then I have no idea what I am supposed to do.

So this time I followed the link that Fandango provided and went and had a look. I must say that I am still not sure if I would participate. On the one hand it would be a great incentive to write more . On the other hand I’m honestly not sure if I can do a post every day, let alone on a theme. I would feel bad if I announced a theme and then could not follow through. I took on the challenge of keeping a five year journal called “One Line A Day”. After two months I’ve forgotten to fill it in a few times when I’m tired last thing at night and I am not at all sure I’m doing it right. I don’t have any profound thoughts, especially at two in the morning which is when I often seem to be writing it. Come to think of it blogging might be easier.

Because of this concern I think that if I did have a stab at it I might do it unofficially to see how I got on. I should probably go and read a few other posts about the challenge and then decide as I actually have some time up my sleeve for once. Assuming of course that I don’t forget after today.
