50 Steps in the backyard
It’s been so wet this week that I was afraid that I’d never get outside to take some new photos. Finally, I did and my camera battery decided to die. “No worries!” I thought. I have two spares in the camera bag. Would you believe that both of them went flat after about two photos. What is going on? Anyway, I finally managed to take half a dozen photos.
Exiting the house onto the deck I walked down the ramp to the outbuilding which houses the laundry, second bathroom and the space that Naomi is turning into an art and craft room. This metal bird statue stands outside it and was already here when we moved in. We like it so we left it in place.
A few more steps takes me to the fence that we had built to stop Teddy from escaping. As you can see we have a pond in this little courtyard area. We haven’t done a lot with it yet.
Mrs Cat and her kitten live under the hydrangeas. She was a fortieth birthday present from my sisters in law, mum had previously given me the kitten. Both of them need a spring clean and I’ll do that soon.
This sailor statue belongs to Naomi, she brought him from her old house in Oatlands.
The garage marks the end of my fifty steps so I turned back. Here is Toby at the bottom of the ramp.
I love all your garden sculptures 😀 😀

Love the cat and kitten AND the sailor on the “ropes.”

He’s become very faded but I think it rather suits him.

He looks thoroughly antiqued.
