Dr Tanya is back this week with a new Blogging Insights question. It is a quote from Ray Bradbury.
I haven’t seen this quotation before. Perhaps Mr Bradbury was saying that we should not overthink things too much. I would agree with him up to a point. When I sit down to write a post, I don’t usually try to structure it a certain way. I just let my thoughts flow and then tidy it up.
However, when you are blogging you know that you will get feedback from readers almost immediately so sometimes you have to think about their likely reactions and whether you want to deal with the consequences. Sometimes when I’m writing a post, or leaving a comment I find myself thinking “Don’t say that.” because it could be taken the wrong way or it sounds whiny or maybe it’s just too much information. Is that intuition or instinct? I guess our intuition also knows what not to write.

What should be left unsaid is sometimes more important.
I completely agree with your thoughts on intuition.
