That rose is sure special. Wonderful flowers for this week’s pale topic 😀 😀

Your rose is PERFECT. We really tried growing “real” roses — not the hedge roses we grow now. They got beetles, fungus, black spot and many just died during the winter. We nursed them along for almost 7 years and gave up. Our hedge roses grow like crazy. They aren’t as beautiful as your rose, though and they don’t have the scent of true roses.

That was one of my roses from my old garden. I really miss them. I brought two roses here in containers but they have struggled. It’s the season to buy new roses now so I may get a couple more and hopefully will be able to protect them from wildlife long enough to establish but it is hotter and more humid here than Geeveston and I don’t know if the climate suits.
