E.M.’s Sunday Ramble #14

This week’s topic is “How Are You?.

This is a remake of the Ramble

Here are the questions:

How is the weather where you are today?

Today is an overcast day and the temperature was supposed to reach 18 degrees Celsius. It is only a degree or so cooler than yesterday and the day before but unlike them it actually feels cool. I think the humidity must be different today.

What is the perfect weekend vibe for you and yours?

It varies, sometimes I like a relaxed vibe, staying home, eating a late breakfast and not doing too much but I also enjoy it when we get up early and set off in the car for an outing. Even though we don’t work, the weekend is often the only time we can do those things as the rest of the week seems to be filled with volunteer activities, chores and doctor’s appointments.

What song is the theme song of your world today?

I don’t really have a theme song on any day.

What color encompasses how you feel today?

I’d have to say a little grey, like the weather.

What is something that makes you feel good today?

I just made banana bread and we’re looking forward to having some in a minute. Here’s one I prepared earlier.

I was born in England in 1957 and lived there until our family came to Australia in 1966. I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, where I met and married my husband, David. We came together over a mutual love of trains. Both of us worked for the railways for many years, his job was with Australian National Railways, while I spent 12 years working for the STA, later TransAdelaide the Adelaide city transit system. After leaving that job I worked in hospitality until 2008. We moved to Tasmania in 2002 to live in the beautiful Huon Valley. In 2015 David became ill and passed away in October of that year. I currently co-write two blogs on WordPress.com with my sister Naomi. Our doll blog "Dolls, Dolls, Dolls", and "Our Other Blog" which is about everything else but with a focus on photographs and places in Tasmania. In November 2019 I began a new life in the house that Naomi and I intend to make our retirement home at Sisters Beach in Tasmania's northwest. Currently we have five pets between us. Naomi's two dogs Toby and Teddy and cats, Tigerwoods and Panther and my cat Polly. My dog Cindy passed away aged 16 in April 2022.

    • That was not the one I made yesterday but as I can see it is still on the cooling rack I’d say it was not long out of the oven. Naomi came in just after I got the banana bread out of the oven yesterday and said “Whatever that is you are making I want some.”

  1. I was thinking the same thing as Melanie! That bread looks yummy 🙂 I bet it smelled amazing too! I hope your grey turned brighter today, and I appreciate you rambling with me!
