For several years David and I used to make an annual drive down the Channel Highway so that I could photograph the entries for the Scarecrow competition held as part of a local fair. There were always lots of humorous and topical entries. Here are a few of them.
Oh what scarecrows you found for this week. I adore them. Thanks for playing 😀

I loved those trips to see them every year. David was always so patient finding somewhere to safely park on the narrow road so that I could get a picture. We did it every summer for about five years until he got sick.

I’ve seen these before and completely forgotten about going down there with my camera…..are they still doing it?

I am not sure Cath. I haven’t been since 2014 when my husband got sick. It used to be in conjunction with the Middleton Fair so if they run that this summer maybe they will. I’d love to know myself although now I live in northwest Tasmania I don’t think I’ll get to see them again.

I’ll keep a look out. Things are starting to reappear. Eg. open gardens
