Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right
Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter

It’s been a long, wet winter here at Sisters Beach. Since Naomi moved here in mid July we’ve hardly had a day when it hasn’t rained. Some days have been wet all day while others have been intermittently wet. We’ve had days when the rain poured down all day and the skies remained grey and days when the rain has been accompanied by icy cold winds. It doesn’t snow here of course because we are at sea level and we don’t get the frost and fog that we used to get in Oatlands and Geeveston but it has still been pretty miserable.

Now that we’re getting towards the latter part of August we are hoping for some nicer weather. Our spring bulbs are starting to flower so although there could be a lot of nasty weather to come it feels like spring is a little closer.
While we are waiting for our bulbs to bloom Naomi decided to brighten up the front entrance with some winter flowering pansies and polyanthus. They cheered us up.
