Mostly Murals
Here are some murals from various Tassie towns. This first one I found while walking to an appointment in South Burnie. There used to be a passenger train service that passed through Burnie until the 1970s.
Another old/new photo on the outside wall of Woolworths in Wynyard.
More art from the scrapyard in Geeveston.
A mural in North Hobart.
These murals are so vibrant. I adore your post Vanda 😀

Hi Vanda, Your mural photos are amazing. It’s sometimes hard to get the entire mural in the photo. I love the fun in the mural in Bernie. My other favorites are the Recycling mural, and the mural on Woolworths. Like Cee said, they are so vibrant. The one on Woolworths looks like you are actually there. Fabulous photos for this week. 🙂

I love the Burnie mural but actually did cut some of it out because it had been graffitied. I love looking at the ones at Woolworths. There are about half a dozen of them and I love the way the vintage photos are printed over the modern photo backgrounds.

I thought about your photos today when I accidently ran into an entire building that have murals painted on all four sides. 🙂 It will show up one of these days.

Awww, I’m so glad, Tas. It is for me too. I had no idea how much public art I had. I can’t wait to show you my loo with a view! 🙂

I have a loo with a view shot too. Not the actual loo mind but the room it is in.

My friend Carol had a series of loos with views going a few years ago. I always think of restroom differently now.
