QUESTIONS
Restrictions are being lifted all over the world. Do you feel it’s safe to go out and mingle in crowds in light of the Pandemic?
I feel safe here in Tasmania because I live in an isolated area and and we still have restrictions on who may enter the state. At the moment there are hot spots all over the country and people from those states are not allowed to come in. However, if I lived in Sydney which is much more densely populated and where I might have to use public transport and shop in crowded shopping centres I would be more hesitant. The idea of people going to football matches or other events in big stadiums worries me. I wouldn’t go to one any time soon.
What are some things that are okay to do occasionally, but definitely not okay to do every day?
Drink alcohol, eat chocolate, spend money on things you don’t need, gamble.
Would you relocate for love (romantic or otherwise)?
Well, after the last move I said I was never moving again. Of course I said that the move before too. Seriously though, I don’t see myself relocating anywhere now. Certainly not for romantic love. I’m not looking for that anyway. Even if it happened I think I’d still want my independence.
Do you believe in any conspiracy theories (no judgment)?
I certainly don’t believe in a lot of the ones that I’ve heard recently, such as Bill Gates is in some way responsible for Covid. Nor do I believe that the Moon Landing was a fake, the Holocaust didn’t happen and 9/11 was a government plot. I try to look for the facts and I do have a hard time believing that hundreds of people would be able to keep quiet about something for so long let alone the huge number of people who survived concentration camps.
There is a conspiracy theory or two involving our former Prime Minister, Harold Holt who was drowned off the Victorian coast in 1967. His body was never found and one theory was that he was a spy and was picked up by a Chinese submarine. I find it easier to believe that although a good swimmer he misjudged the strength of the current that day and his own abilities and that he died by misadventure.

That photo is very sweet! ❤ Polly and Cindy are obviously very good friends indeed, I've heard it said that cats only groom other animals they feel are part of the family, what sweet pets! 🙂 It must be wonderful to live in a part of the world where it's small enough and the government is sensible enough to keep outsiders from coming and inadvertently spreading Covid. My town is very small, but the tourist industry is one of Utah's main 'industries" and my town isn't exempt from that, so we get tourists all over the place, plus Americans who travel because it's nice weather (it's hot as the Dickens here, but I guess it's a change for some folks). There are very very few restrictions at all here, and there's a disturbing number of people who refused the vaccine and have no problem getting right in another person's space. Unsettling is the very least I can say. Have a pleasant week! ☺

Tourism is a big thing for many Tasmanian towns but the state government wisely decided that it’s not worth the risk. Just today we read that Canberra has now been added to the list of places that people cannot visit from. I think we are only taking visitors from South Australia and Western Australia at present.
