If I take any photos this week I think it will be of wooden boats filled with animals, it has rained every day this week. Instead here are some photos from my archives. Three from Tasmania and one taken while we were visiting friends in Canberra. The snowy picture was taken during one of the rare big snows in Geeveston. There is often snow on the hills behind the town but not usually this much. The Tahune Airwalk is about 30kms from Geeveston and the cantilever viewing platform was opened just before we arrived in Tasmania in 2002. The river is the Picton. Tooms Lake is in the midlands, Naomi and I stopped to have a look at it one day driving back to Oatlands from Launceston. it is popular for fishing and camping although there was not much water when we saw it as there was a drought over most of the midlands.
