Love the kitchen plants – I’m never successful with plants!

Nor am I usually. The Zygocactus was here when we moved in so I kept it. Two other plants belong to Naomi. They are succulents and pretty hardy. The miniature tomato plant does not look too healthy.

I try to do that when I can by picking the brands with Aussie content first even though they are more expensive. We grow these things ourselves so why would I want tomatoes from Italy, jam from Poland etc. I’m not impressed that Coles own brands are frequently overseas grown produce and always read the labels.

It’s Marilyn’s recipe, she wrote a post about it some time ago. She makes it with molasses. I don’t always have that in the pantry but it works well with treacle or even golden syrup as well.
