A New Challenge
I thought that it would be fun to join in a new challenge from Clare’s Cosmos. She invites us to share a photo of our desktop. At first I thought that meant my actual desktop. You don’t want to see that right now, half empty coffee mug, banana skin, Ken doll getting dye stain removal treatment. Then I realised she meant the image we have on our computer screen. Much better idea.
I have a desktop and a laptop and I like to have a photo of something I like on both my lock screen and home screen. For a desktop background I generally choose something that is not too busy so I can still find my icons. The lock screen photo tends to be something inspirational. When we were planning our cruise holidays I had photos of the ships for example. I don’t change my photo very often.

The photo above is the one I chose for my desktop home screen. It was taken at the beach, probably with my phone. For those of you who don’t know me I live at Sisters Beach which is a small beachside community in northwest Tasmania. The nearest town is Wynyard, the nearest city is Burnie. In this photo you can see Sisters Island, a rocky island just offshore. Part of the beach is within the bounds of Rocky Cape National Park. The location of this photo is not however, it is the part where we are allowed to exercise our dogs. When the tide is out there is a long stretch of smooth, hard sand which is great for walking.
Here are a few more of my favourite beach pictures which may take a turn on the desktop one day.

Hi Vanda, this looks like a wonderful spot, and I can’t believe we missed this slice of Tassie when we were on our trip around Australia. Love your sense of humour and perhaps I would have had a really good laugh at the eclectic collection of items on your desk’s top. Thank you so much for joining in 🥰

Sisters Beach is quite isolated as it is off the Bass Hwy and not a through road. When I told friends in Southern Tasmania where I was moving too most had not heard of it although everyone seems to know nearby Boat Harbour.

We stated in Stanley and spent some time driving around, but just didn’t get to see everything. Next time for sure 🙂
