Be It Ever So Humble
After nearly 11 months in this house it is still a jumble of things awaiting permanent homes and boxes waiting to be unpacked. I don’t anticipate us being completely sorted out till next year when Naomi moves here for good. In the meantime here are some of my favourite things around the upstairs part of the house which is where I spend most of my time.

The upstairs kitchen is where I cook. We have another kitchen downstairs where Naomi’s stuff will go.

This small area around the stairs has become my “office”. We put an old bedspread over the stair rails to stop the pets from sticking their heads through the bars.
I haven’t yet got all my treasures out as the movers kindly lost one of the legs of my buffet cabinet and I need to replace it but I do have a few of them in the living room. There is another living area downstairs too where we will put Naomi’s furniture and eventually a new TV and recliners.
I keep missing these challenges. I’ve still got stuff in crates in my basement that have been there for 20 years. My father used to say that anything you didn’t unpack in the first 3 days would NEVER get unpacked. He had a point.

I’ve heard people say that and I’m sure it is true for some things but I fully intend to have the rest of my knick knacks out and my dolls on display before the end of next year.

It’s nice having a peek into your home. That is a nice pantry. 😀
