Most of these buildings are not brand new but they are the modern style of home. Generally I don’t find them attractive but they can sometimes be interesting to photograph. Sometimes I just photograph them so I can rant about what a blot on the landscape they are or how mad I am that a much nicer building was demolished to make way for them. I would not want to live in any of these although I admit the Hobart Waterfront ones have great views.
These townhouse apartments are some of many built near the river in Port Adelaide.
Here is an apartment building on the Hobart waterfront which was converted from grain silos in the early 2000’s.
I visited this pod apartment set on top of an older building during Open House Hobart a few years ago.
Large cities always have a lot of apartment blocks like these in the Little India area of Singapore.
These modern houses are typical of the style of home that is starting to predominate on the sea front. These are here at Sisters Beach but they are everywhere.
