Sometimes when I take Cindy out I take my camera or my smartphone with me to take photos. Taking the DSLR can be a nuisance because it’s heavy and requires two hands to operate. If I want to use it I have to drop the leash and stand on it so Cindy can’t wander off.
The smartphone can theoretically be operated with one hand but photography with it rarely goes as planned. Either the sun’s glare makes it impossible to know what I’m actually photographing, Cindy yanks the leash and I move my hand, the camera won’t start or it takes pictures when I’m not ready.
This one was one of the latter I think. I had been taking photos of the creek and it went off accidentally providing me with this photo of Cindy’s shadow. It actually wouldn’t have been too bad a picture if it had got her head in. Normally I delete these but I’m keeping it for the next time Cee does a photos challenge involving shadows.
I like it. 😊. It’s slightly mysterious. Although the paw prints offer a clue. 🐾

My best last picture was the one I didn’t take this morning because the birds flew away before I got the camera in my hands. I think it’s personal.

I’m sure birds do that on purpose. I’ve missed so many because the minute I had a camera in my hands they flew away or hid in the branches.
