Long or Tall?

I was unsure about whether to call some things long or tall. Here is a long ladder seen through a window.

Here’s another ladder. I think of this one as the ladder to nowhere.

A long, long, log truck near Geeveston.

Sadly, I did not have to do much to change this display of long curtains to black and white. They were all shades of grey and beige to begin with. I’d gone to the store looking for some cheerful colours so I was not impressed.
