If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make them?
I guess it is because of the fear of consequences and because nobody likes to appear to be wrong or to have failed.
How do we know that pleasure is good and pain is bad?
Well, we feel that pleasure is good because it makes us feel good while pain makes us feel bad. Maybe that doesn’t mean that all pleasure is good but it doesn’t seem that way when you are having it. Pain is bad, it might make you stronger and all that sort of thing but it is still bad.
What problem or situation did TV / movies make you think would be common, but when you grew up you found out it wasn’t?
I don’t think I ever thought that the situations on TV shows or movies were anything like real life, not my life anyway.
If you drive, do you speed when no one is watching? Have you ever run a red light late at night on purpose, particularly if it doesn’t seem to change very quickly? If you don’t drive, what minor law may you have broken?
I confess. I have jaywalked.
What positive things are you finding to do to occupy your time right now?
I’m pretty much doing the things that I usually like to do, I read, I write, I play with dolls, I take photos even though my subjects are a bit limited at the moment. I have been listening to and watching videos of a lot of great musicians. I have been catching up with some TV shows I’ve been meaning to watch (Death in Paradise), rewatching some that I liked (Detectorists) and finding a couple of new ones that I might watch. (Picard). Now that I have a fresh supply of groceries I’ve been doing some baking. I have no shortage of things to occupy my time.
