Summer at the beach
Cee has asked us for summer scenes this week but on the very day the post was published the rain came. It’s good, we have had very little so far this summer. This coming weekend is a holiday weekend so naturally the rain is forecast to last until after that. I had taken some nice summery photos at Penguin recently and had planned to take more here at Sisters Beach but I suspect that may not happen now so back to the good old archives for some beachy pictures.
I’m not really one for spending time at the beach on a very hot day but I do like to be beside the seaside. One thing I noticed recently is how the sands of our northwest Tassie beaches are more of a gold colour while those in the south are almost white.

Here are a couple of old favourites I took in Sydney at Watson’s Bay.

I don’t think our beaches ever get the summery. But then I avoid them in the summer, too many people. 😀 😀 What DELIGHTFUL photos you have for this week. 😀

I don’t like hot sun and burning sand so my beach visits were infrequent on the mainland. I don’t like crowds either. However, our Tasmanian beaches don’t get as crowded or as hot usually.
