Snapshot Sunday: Cindy

Cindy with a favourite toy.

This is the last photo I took during a mini photo shoot in the garden yesterday. In between shots I’d had a game of ball with Cindy. She loves to play fetch but these days she can sometimes take a while to decide to drop the ball so there is not so much chasing and more dodging me until she is ready to give it up. Still, she is thirteen so I am glad she wants to play ball at all.

Born in England in 1957 my family came to Australia in 1966. I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, where I met and married my husband David. We came together over a mutual love of trains. Both of us worked for the railways for many years, his job was with Australian National Railways, while I spent 12 years working for the STA, later TransAdelaide the Adelaide city transit system. After leaving that job I worked in hospitality until 2008. We moved to Tasmania in 2002 to live in the beautiful Huon Valley. David passed away in 2015 and I'm here on my own now but I have Cindy the dog and Polly the cat to keep me company. I currently co-write two Wordpress blogswith my sister Naomi. Our doll blog "Dolls, Dolls, Dolls", and a "Our Other Blog" which is about everything else but with a focus on photographs and places in Tasmania.

  1. This is the first time I’ve seen one of your posts on the day it came out. Everything is showing up late — or not showing up at all. I also can’t comment more than half the time. WordPress is really screwy lately! Cindy is beautiful!

    1. I had been putting it down to the time difference but maybe it’s just WordPress. Sometimes I think I haven’t seen someone post for a while and am never sure if it is because they haven’t or I just didn’t see it. Facebook is way worse though, some people’s posts never show up in my feed. I cropped that photo of Cindy down, should have left a bit more of her ear but was trying to avoid showing two mats airing on the railings.
