Bad Photo Monday : Ghost Ship

Ghost Ship revealed!

I haven’t done one of these in a while. I guess my photography is improving so I’m not taking as many bad pictures. I want to keep this going though because it is a good laugh and it’s fun to do.

I was wandering around in Launceston one day when I came to the river Tamer. I thought I would take some photos there. There were a few boats and things but most were too far away from me so I played about with the zoom lens hoping to get a better shot. Of course with my little camera the photos come out blurry if objects are too far away like the boat I was trying to photograph. I ended up with a very out of focus shot of some sort of boat. I’ve no idea what it even is.

Looking at it today makes me think of a ghost ship. Was this to head down the river and out to sea never to be seen again. What creepy mystery lays behind the disappearance of this small boat and it’s crew? It certainly looks like it has been swallowed up in a mysterious mist on the Tamer.

I didn’t bother walking around to get a better photo. I was too lazy  for that so headed back to the city streets to look for a café so I could get a cup of tea.

I came to Australia with my mother and sister Vanda in 1966 from the UK aboard the Sitmar liner Castel Felice. We settled in South Australia I lived in the western suburbs of Adelaide for most of my life. I became very interested in retro items in my twenties. It was always a dream of mine to have an old house and fill it with retro items. I have done it twice now. My main interest is collecting old things. They do not have to be valuable, only interesting. There is something reassuring about old retro items. I have all sorts of things including doll related items. My other interests are my beautiful pets, art and going for drives to who knows where. I also enjoy board games or doing a scenic jig saw puzzle on a wintry afternoon by the fire. My goal is to travel a bit more as there are some places I would love to see
