Share Your World 2017 – Week #46

Sharing My World This Week

If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so?

No. I would never do that. I would do the parts I was most certain about, then the parts that I was not so sure of and hope for the best.

What things in nature do you find most beautiful?

I’m always attracted to water, rivers, lakes and the sea. I love to see hills and mountains and I love green fields, trees and flowers, the sight of a rainbow and especially at this time of year, birdsong.

Who doesn’t like flowers?

Complete this sentence: When I travel I love to….

Take photographs obviously, I also like to explore on foot, use public transport and most of all take all the time I need. I don’t like to be rushed through one attraction to get on to the next one.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Summer seems to have arrived early and roses are blooming everywhere now. Here are some of mine. Since I took this picture two or three days ago the bush now has half a dozen roses in full bloom.

I think it is amazing the way these change colour as they bloom.

Born in England in 1957 my family came to Australia in 1966. I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, where I met and married my husband David. We came together over a mutual love of trains. Both of us worked for the railways for many years, his job was with Australian National Railways, while I spent 12 years working for the STA, later TransAdelaide the Adelaide city transit system. After leaving that job I worked in hospitality until 2008. We moved to Tasmania in 2002 to live in the beautiful Huon Valley. David passed away in 2015 and I'm here on my own now but I have Cindy the dog and Polly the cat to keep me company. I currently co-write two Wordpress blogswith my sister Naomi. Our doll blog "Dolls, Dolls, Dolls", and a "Our Other Blog" which is about everything else but with a focus on photographs and places in Tasmania.
