Share Your World 2017 – Week #36

Sharing My World This Week

Would you want $200,000 right now or $250,000 in a year? It’s safe to assume all money is tax free.

It is tempting to say I’ll take the lesser amount if I can have it now but when I think about the things I want to do with it would be better to wait another year. It would be worth it to have more in the long-term.

Is it more important to love or be loved?

I honestly have never thought about it. Both are an important part of life, I can’t say that one is more important than the other.

List things that represent abundance to you.

When I think of this word I think of a favourite scene in Charles’ Dickens “A Christmas Carol” where Mr Scrooge opens the door to see the Spirit of Christmas Present sitting in the midst of a mound of good things to eat. That is abundance.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Last week I got a new Barbie that I had ordered from Amazon and she was so pretty I just wanted to get her out of the box. I did and that inspired me to take a lot of new photos for the doll blog of her and some others that I hadn’t photographed for some time.

Born in England in 1957 my family came to Australia in 1966. I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, where I met and married my husband David. We came together over a mutual love of trains. Both of us worked for the railways for many years, his job was with Australian National Railways, while I spent 12 years working for the STA, later TransAdelaide the Adelaide city transit system. After leaving that job I worked in hospitality until 2008. We moved to Tasmania in 2002 to live in the beautiful Huon Valley. David passed away in 2015 and I'm here on my own now but I have Cindy the dog and Polly the cat to keep me company. I currently co-write two Wordpress blogswith my sister Naomi. Our doll blog "Dolls, Dolls, Dolls", and a "Our Other Blog" which is about everything else but with a focus on photographs and places in Tasmania.
