Getting around over the last three weeks had me taking plenty of photos for myself and our blogs. While I was out and about I found a few things for this subject as well. Here are a few of the things I found during my recent travels around the state of Tasmania.
This is a model engine “The General” at Evandale
A model of Port Arthur Historic Site. This was made to show how it looked originally. Many buildings were destroyed in bushfires.
Here are some remote control pirate ships at Penny Royal. These cost $2.00 to operate and I had a lot of fun with them even though I wasn’t very good at steering mine.
This is Rosewood Manor one of my doll houses. Doll houses were made to look like the real thing so little girls could play house.
Here is a remote control yacht. I have seen these quite often in parks and on the Derwent River. I’ve seen a lot of people having a wonderful time racing them. Nearly as good as the America’s Cup race I’d say.
This small windmill was in a park at Ulverstone Tasmania and was a gift to the people there from the Dutch.
