Buildings
Buildings are one of my favourite photographic subjects. I like the shapes, colours and styles of old buildings. I sometimes photograph new ones if I think they look striking but I love the old buildings most of all.

Here is a photograph that I have been playing with in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. It is the old catholic church at Ranelagh in the Huon Valley which has now been removed as they have built a larger new one. I am glad I have a picture of the old weatherboard church. I don’t suppose it was very nice in winter but it has character. I liked the photo because it was taken on a very stormy day. Here are two different versions of the picture. You can see the original here.
I love buildings too. The railway station is just darling.

By the way, did you change your blog? It seems different, but I am not sure how.

Yes Carol, well spotted I changed the colour scheme this afternoon and added a couple of new header pictures so they are supposed to display randomly. I wanted to include one of Naomi’s Oatlands pictures as well as my home town of Geeveston. We may play with the look a bit more over the next few months as I felt that with Naomi joining me it was time for a new look.

I am so perplexed by WordPress. I have a another blog just for practice. Using WordPress is just intuitive for me. So, I leave it for while and then go back. I do like it.

I have a practice one as well. It does take time to learn how to do things.
