Share Your World 2017: Week # 22

Sharing My World This Week

What’s your strongest sense?

It is definitely not sight as I am very short-sighted. Of the others perhaps touch might be the strongest or possibly smell.

Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)

It depends. I could be several of these but as I often have sneezing fits when I am outdoors I guess I am Sneezy.

If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be?

I’ll narrow it down to a decade. I enjoyed my thirties, I was probably at my fittest then too.

List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy.  [Remember:  This is SYW where even your dreams can become reality.]

  • Personal Shopper – shopping with other people’s money
  • Travel Writer – a good excuse to see new places.
  • Archaeologist – I loved watching “Time Team”.
  • Museum Curator – As long as I was not mistaken for an exhibit.
  • Antique Shop Owner – but I’d probably never sell anything.
  • Doll Restorer
  • Professional Blogger
Travel diary and note book, my sister knows me well.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I have just come back from visiting my friend Gillian and her husband Bruce in Melbourne. I don’t see them very often so I am grateful that I had the means to go. We had a wonderful time together visiting the Puffing Billy Railway and going out to lunch.

This week I am back to my usual routine and just happy to be at home with Cindy and Polly catching up with some blogging.

Gillian and I with her assistance dog Dusty who got camera shy.

Born in England in 1957 my family came to Australia in 1966. I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, where I met and married my husband David. We came together over a mutual love of trains. Both of us worked for the railways for many years, his job was with Australian National Railways, while I spent 12 years working for the STA, later TransAdelaide the Adelaide city transit system. After leaving that job I worked in hospitality until 2008. We moved to Tasmania in 2002 to live in the beautiful Huon Valley. David passed away in 2015 and I'm here on my own now but I have Cindy the dog and Polly the cat to keep me company. I currently co-write two Wordpress blogswith my sister Naomi. Our doll blog "Dolls, Dolls, Dolls", and a "Our Other Blog" which is about everything else but with a focus on photographs and places in Tasmania.
