Share Your World 2017 – Week #16

Sharing My World This Week

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

I really don’t drink soft drinks  or juice that much so I rarely have them in the house. I prefer to drink tea and coffee most of the time but if I am really dry I will drink cold water.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

got a tattoo, or even considered getting one. Firstly I would not be able to stand the pain and secondly I really don’t find them very attractive.

If you could be given any gift what would it be?

I would like the gift of continued good health. I want to be able to enjoy my senior years and still be able to get around and do the things I love. I don’t want to run marathons but I’d like to be able to get around without help for as long as possible.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?

It is rare for me not to be able to sleep. Usually I drop off very quickly. However, if pain is preventing me from sleeping I will generally take some paracetamol and try to get into the most comfortable position I can find. I figure if my body is in a resting position it is better than nothing. I lie in bed and try to think about nice things.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I had a nice weekend last week as Naomi came to visit on Saturday and I went out for lunch with friends on Sunday. I am also grateful that my friend Allyson who was taken to hospital with appendicitis last week is making a good recovery. This week is looking like a normal week of chores at home and the Op Shop. I am not planning anything special.

  1. I am with you on the no tattoo rule. They are ugly. I just wonder what all these young 20+ people are going to feel about their tattoos when they are our age, or older. Thanks for sharing.
