I missed my Tuesday morning pondering the Share Your World questions but luckily we have a guest writer, Ribbonrx, this week.
What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
I had to think about this because I think I am pretty old school in my likes and dislikes but what do I actually do the old fashioned way? Banking? No. I do that online. Paying bills? Ditto.
I know, I will not under any circumstances use those automated check outs at stores. I go to a checkout with a real person to pay for my goods.
What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?
I have always enjoyed travel books especially those with a humorous style. I enjoy biographies but I do read some fiction as well. I don’t really watch a lot of movies especially modern ones. If I have a favourite genre it is probably Christmas movies. I love a sentimental Christmas movie or a classic like “Miracle on 34th Street” and “A Christmas Carol”.
How often do you people watch? Not very often these days as I’ve become a bit of a homebody lately but I especially love to do it at the theatre or some other crowded place. Naomi and I even made a game out of it. We would arrive early and take it in turns to challenge each other to find a particular member of the audience. A person with a cast on his or her leg, someone in a brightly coloured shirt, a celebrity look-alike. It was our own personal game of “Where’s Wally (Waldo)? and it kept us occupied till the lights dimmed.
What have you only recently formed an opinion about?
I can’t think of anything in particular. Most things I see these days reinforce the opinions that I already had.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week Naomi came to visit and brought a heap of things for me to photograph and write about for my doll blog, not the least of which was the Triang Model 61 dolls house. The rest of this week will be a normal week with household chores, Op Shop and blogging but that’s fine. We can’t have excitement every week.
