Sculptures, Statues & Carvings
This week Cee has asked to see sculptures, statues and carvings. I always find these things interesting to photograph so here are a few from my archives which I have converted to black and white for this challenge. In some of them I have used the coloured filter feature on my photo editing software and for one I used the sepia tone instead.

I spotted this old gargoyle statue on a wall when I was walking from Potts Point to Rushcutters Bay in Sydney. Here I have used the sepia tone feature.

These are all such great entries! My favorites are the Hairy Maclary sculpture, the giraffe, and the wood carving at the bottom.

I couldn’t do a post on this subject without including some of our local woodcarvers work. Believe it or not that was done with a chainsaw!

Your photos are really good. What kind of camera did you use?

Most of them were taken on my previous camera, a Nikon L120 compact camera. The oldest one of the woodcarving was probably taken with the little Fujifilm camera I had before that. Currently I use a Pentax KR10 as I broke the Nikon. When I do this challenge I often make a copy of the picture I want to use and crop it before turning it black and white so it is different from the original.
