Sharing My World This Week
A class you wish you would have taken?
When I first went to high school I learned German for two years. Then I changed schools and at my new school they did not teach it. I wish I had been able to continue with it and become fluent. I also think I would have liked to have studied archaeology. Over the past few years I’ve enjoyed watching television programs like “Time Team” and seeing how they use the evidence around them to solve puzzles about the past.

Name something you wish you could like.
I wish I could like exercise but I don’t. I don’t mind getting exercise as part of my daily life, walking to the shops, strolling through the park or doing housework but getting hot and sweaty in a gym, playing sports or jogging seems a boring and unpleasant way of passing time to me.
Who was your best friend when you were 10?
I don’t think that I had a best friend when I was ten. I was a fairly solitary child and preferred to play by myself at school. However, the year I was twelve I became friends with Penny and Gillian, we all liked to read and we all loved “Star Trek”. By the time we went to High School we were best friend. Penny died quite young but Gillian and I are still friends even though we now live in different states.

What sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?
My Zodiac sign is Taurus but I am on the cusp as my birthday is May 20th. I often read the Gemini horoscope as well as my own. I don’t really pay much attention to the horoscopes in newspapers and popular magazines though as they are obviously too general to be accurate. However, I do believe in astrology. I would not make a major decision based on astrology but I would probably take it into account along with the practical side of things.

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I had a cold for much of last week and there is nothing enjoyable about that. I stayed at home resting and keeping my germs to myself. I guess if I am grateful for anything it is that I did not have to go anywhere. On a more cheerful note I’m grateful for the lovely flowers in my garden. I’m still in recovery mode so no big plans for the coming week.
I am kind of with you on astrology. I wouldn’t necessarily change my life, but if a date seems better than another date…I might make sure the stars are aligned better. 😀

I feel the same way about astrology and exercise! I hope you fully recover from your cold this week.
