The Eyes Have It

Occasionally I am called on to be eye doctor to the old teddies that Naomi likes to collect. Here are a couple of them. One was a sad case as when she got him he had no eyes or ears and his head had become detached from his body. He was an unfinished repair project when she bought him so as I’ve made a few bears she asked me to see what I could do. The eyes are actually pretty easy to do, the ears were harder as I had no idea what the originals looked like. I bought a piece of mohair in a similar colour and made some, I think the result is not too bad although perhaps they are a little larger than they should be.
The other old fellow only needed one eye so he was an easy fix. I made him a dressing gown to wear until he was mended.
