Daily Prompt – Miniature

via Daily Prompt: Miniature

As a child I was taken to a display of model railways and dolls houses and I remember being absolutely enchanted by it. That was over fifty years ago but I still love miniature things just as much now.

As an adult I appreciate the time and patience that goes into creating tiny but realistic looking items. Every year I visit the model railway show and I probably spend more time admiring the buildings and scenery than the trains. I’m amazed at dollhouse and miniature shows to see people knitting tiny little garments for dolls that are sometimes less than an inch long.

The child in me just wants to shrink down to miniature  scale and move and move in to one of the houses or walk the tiny streets of a model railway scene.
