Favorite thing to photograph? Write? Or Cook?
You might say that I like to photograph and write about all the things I care about. My blog has a Tasmanian focus because I enjoy sharing pictures of my adopted state and especially of the Huon Valley where I live. I love to photograph ships and boats whether they are wooden boats at Franklin or visiting mega sized cruise ships. I also like to photograph interesting buildings because I’m interested in history and the built environment. I enjoy sharing my hobby of doll collecting and my pleasure (most of the time) in watching cricket. Of course I love to photograph my pets and other animals too. As for cooking. I like to do the Christmas baking. No Christmas cake or pudding this year but there will be mince pies and White Christmas as usual.
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
I did enjoy swinging but because of my frequently mentioned fear of falling I was a conservative swinger and never tried to loop the loop by going over the top of the swing. I don’t pay much attention to swings now.
What has surprised you about blogging?
I think what has surprised me most is that my doll blog has become quite popular. Certain pages get quite a lot of visits especially the one I wrote about my Canadian dolls. I get quite a lot of people asking me for help identifying Canadian dolls and I’m not an expert or even living in Canada. I feel the information available about them must be pretty poor when people look to someone in Australia for answers.
I am also surprised by how much I miss it when I don’t blog.
List at least five favorite desserts.
- Christmas pudding, I look forward to it every year.
- Fresh fruit salad with a dollop of cream
- Home made apple crumble with cream, custard or ice cream, especially home-made ice-cream
- Black forest Cake
- Chocolate Mud Cake
