Sharing My World This Week
What was the last time you went to a new place?
I have been having a hard time getting to the old places lately let alone going anywhere new. I love going to new places though. I think that the last new place I visited was when I went to Melbourne in October. I’ve been to Melbourne many times but I stayed with friends who live at Sunbury and I’d never been there before. Sunbury is about 40km north of Melbourne and is a regional town which is now developing into a commuter suburb. Sunbury is famous for two things. Firstly for being the birthplace of The Ashes and secondly for being the venue for the Sunbury Music Festivals held between 1972-1975. The festivals were held on a farm belonging to George Duncan at Jackson’s Creek which is between the now suburbs of Digger’s Rest and Sunbury and were Australia’s answer to Woodstock.

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels, other? And what type of genre would you prefer?
Well I am not a writer but if I was I think that what I would like to write best is non fiction. I would probably most enjoy being a travel writer telling interesting or humourous stories about my journeys or writing practical guides for other travellers. The bonus would be that I would have to visit places myself in order to write about them. I guess that what I write about in my two blogs are the things I enjoy writing about, places, events, things and occasionally a bit of ranting.

Out of your five senses (touch, taste, sight, smell, hearing) which is your favorite?
I would not want to lose any one of my senses but as to my favourite I guess it would be sight because seeing lovely things makes me feel happy.
If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?
No, I think we’re all pretty much the same and a random sample would find people leading a life that they were satisfied with some of the time and unsatisfied with at times as well.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week I got to visit the Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart, I caught up with my sister for a day and my friend Allyson and her husband Matt. The weather was beautiful too. In the week coming up I don’t expect anything out of the ordinary but I hope we’ll have some more nice days and that Hubby will enjoy better health.
The wooden boat festival sounds like it was fun. Thanks ever so much for sharing.
